European Energy to open Milan office – reNews

Danish renewables company European Energy is to officially open a new office in Milan, Italy, on 12 October.

The company said the move is the latest in its strategy to establish local offices across key markets.

European Energy has been active in Italy since 2008 and has already completed several wind energy projects in the country, as well as solar farms (pictured).

Head of Italian Projects Alessandro Migliorini said: “With a project pipeline of more than 1.5GW, Italy is a key market for European Energy.

“We are confident that European Energy can play a positive role in Italy’s green transition plans and also be a strong driver for growth at a time where the country fights back against the Covid-19 pandemic.”

European Energy chief executive Knud Erik Andersen said: “It is a big day for us to open up our first office in Italy and a sign of our high expectations for the Italian market.

“Earlier this year, we grid connected the biggest solar power plant in Italy to date, and we are currently installing additional 20MW project in Puglia with our latest tracker technology.

“I am confident that we will see many new Italian projects in the coming years.”
