A Queensland man accused of murdering his parents at their bed and breakfast has also been charged with attempted arson.
The case against Christopher Puglia, 31, was mentioned in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on Thursday following his arrest five days ago.

He has been remanded in custody in Queensland after being extradited from NSW.
He was found by police in the Sydney suburb of Berowra some four hours after his parents’ bodies were discovered on Sunday.
Puglia is charged with the double murder of Frank and Loris Puglia, both 59, on Saturday at their home in Joyner, north of Brisbane.
Court documents have confirmed police will allege the couple was murdered with a sledgehammer.
Puglia wasn’t taken to the court and did not appear by video-link when his case was mentioned on Thursday.
He had requested to be in court for the hearing, but was kept in the watchhouse due to COVID-19 restrictions.
“Given the nature of the allegations, it goes without saying he’s pretty overwhelmed,” his lawyer Brendan Beavon told reporters outside court.
“That’s all he really said to me. He’s overwhelmed with the situation.”
