Amid signs of increasing collaboration between UK and Italian industries, Film London has come together with Apulia Film Commission to launch a new ’Development and Co-production Lab’.

The new Lab takes will offer eight filmmaking teams – four from the UK and four from Italy – the chance to participate in what is being called a “five-day bootcamp” at which they will be given intensive support and one to one mentoring to ready their scripts for the big scene. The event will take place on 5-9 February.

The Lab will end with a pitching session in front of international financiers, including representatives from the Apulia Film Commission.

UK submitted projects must be set or shot in Italy, or with a strong Italian flavour.  UK projects set or shot wholly in the UK will not be eligible. 

Italian submitted projects must be set or shot in the UK. Italian projects set in Italy will not be eligible. 

Flights, accommodation and travel costs will be covered for Italian filmmaking teams by the Apulia Film Commission.
