‘Going back to Puglia after lockdown was just magical’: the joy of returning to a second home at last

When we were in semi-lockdown, I would walk around Rome every day, discovering new corners and seeing it in a completely different light. To see the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon without any people was incredibly special. I took so many photos and videos; it’s a time I will never forget.

Now, I am looking forward to travelling more. I love to travel – I miss London, I miss Japan, Sri Lanka, New York, the list goes on. But this year, for the first time, my travels will all be around Italy. This is the time to get to know my own country better and to take inspiration from it. Of course, I’ve already planned my next trip to my beloved Puglia.
